Hello Treasure Hunters! We have a new update out today for Forsaken Remastered! The patch adds new features as well as fixing bugs that have been brought to our attention by the community. 1.4.1 (Update #1) Patch Notes =========== Update: 14/08/2018 * Fixed an issue with Old Power Station that prevented the second secret from being counted * Vulkan is now dynamically loaded so it's no longer a requirement to have Vulkan installed unless you select it. Fixes support for legacy drivers. --- Single-Player Gameplay ====================== * Fixed 'dancing' Dreadnaught boss when first encountered in the repair room, * Fixed trigger sequences being saved, resulting in triggers and other events from resetting when loading the save file, * Flashlight state is now saved and restored correctly in save games, * Automap state and water heights are now saved properly, * Fixed golden power pod rejection message, * Missing support for purple shaded orbital projectiles when player has the golden power pod. Multi-Player ==================== * Missing effects (flares, sound sfx, etc) on player ships in multiplayer, * Fixed a client sync issue that prevented some pickups from being removed, * Fixed the client running scatter effects from client side collisions, * New scoreboard design. User Interface ============== * Possible fix with the binding prompt immediately closing for users with high DPI mice, * Fixed multithreading issues with the UI and UI menus. This fix is mostly targeted towards Mac and Linux users. General Gameplay ============================= * Trojax now consumes ~10% fewer ammo while charging on power levels 2 and 3, allowing the user to get more shots out of it, * MRFL has been changed completely to match the original behavior seen on the 1998 PC release, * Player speeds are no longer clamped. Renderer / Graphics ==================== * Hud styles - this can be found under the gameplay option. The current styles available are: PSX, Classic, N64, and Arranged, * If Direct X or OpenGL failed to initialize, the engine will now automatically fallback to another graphics driver and attempt to initialize that instead, * Vulkan is now implemented as a 3rd graphics driver option. This can be set by going into the video menu and setting the graphics api to "Vulkan". Then either select "apply changes" or restart the game manually to initialize Vulkan. Enjoy the update and let us know of any problems in the forums! Daniel, Nightdive Studios
