Torchlight for PSN and XBLA in Runic's Plans

Shatter

Shatter is a retro-inspired brick-breaking game that merges familiar action with unique twists and a modern crafted production approach.

Runic Games is hoping to bring its isometric dungeon crawler Torchlight to the PS3 and Xbox 360 through PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade respectively. In an interview with Joystiq, Runic CEO Max Schaefer said "We're trying, we're talking [to Sony and Microsoft] and we hope to get that done quickly."

The company hopes that the console versions are ready "by the holidays," but nothing is set in stone at the moment. Runic is also developing a sequel, which will include an expanded game world and cooperative multiplayer. It is scheduled for release in 2011.

As for Torchlight II on the consoles, Runic will "try" after the game is released. A free-to-play MMO version of Torchlight is also in development, but will be released after Torchlight II.
