Hello everyone! We’ve been awfully quiet, but for a very good reason: we’ve been grinding on with the development of Good Mourning, and we finally have news to share: the game is nearing completion for Early Access release. What this means is, that the game can be completed, major features have been implemented, and most of the bugs have been squished.
But this is just the beginning.
Good Mourning is all about variation. We’ve constructed the game in a way that it can be completed several times and with different outcomes. The Early Access version of the game delivers the promise of this, but during the next year we’ll concentrate on making good on that promise.
The barebone version you’ll get your hands on within a month or so can be completed several times, and each time the story is different. But during Early Access we will take this idea to a whole new ballpark. We’ve crafted the plans to make this into reality, but those are just the framework. We wish to include you guys into this process as well! We’d love to hear your ideas on what could be included in the game and what we could iterate to make it better. We want this to be a joint effort.
For me as a developer, it was huge relief to get the game to the point where it is now. Making a structured thing out of random ideas I’ve had for years was quite the undertaking. Wrapping my head around this game took a very long time, but I’m extremely proud of the result. And especially what it will become during the coming months.
I can’t wait for the end of October!
