The Overhauling Update is here! ❤️‍🔥 💝 💘 I present to you a new and even slicker Cards of Divinity! Let me quickly go over the changes you will find in the new update! The Class System Three classes: 🛡️Guardian, ⚔️Striker, and 🧙‍♀️Mage. Think of these as rock-paper-scissors. Guardians deal double damage to Strikers. Strikers deal double damage to Mages. And Mages deal double damage to Guardians. This applies to damage done through attacking or defending. Limited Hero Tokens 💎 You now begin the game with 5 hero tokens and you no longer get new ones when succeeding Trials. Persephone's Dagger has been removed. Essentially, once your 5th hero is killed, your run is over. (You can use heroes like Odysseus to bypass this rule slightly) The Progression System 🗺️ You can now choose which trials you will encounter as you progress through the game. At the start of the game, you will begin with 1 Campfire Token which you can activate to rest before you begin your adventure. When you activate the Token you will get to choose which of the three strangers you would like to meet at the Campfire - Homer, the Oracle, or the Jester. Each one of them presents you with a different way to improve your party of heroes. After choosing one of the books presented by the stragers you will receive a Boss Token (which will be renamed to Trial Token) which you can activate to choose the next Trial you will face. After defeating the chosen Trial, you will receive a new Boss Token, then another Campfire Token, and then the steps will repeat until you reach the final Trial. Additionally, all your heroes will be restored to their base health after every trial. Updated Trials 📗 Trials are now represented by a trial card which you can obtain after defeating all enemies. (e.g. Trial of Agility, Wisdom, Opulence, etc.) Every trial has a favored enemy type which it is likely to summon, represented by the icon beneath the trial's portrait. NEXT: More updates, a new tutorial in-game to reflect all the changes, more heroes, more trials, more enemies, more everything! Wishlist and spread the word to help out with the development, it really counts!
