All you wanted was a nice game. But now you find yourself opening Windows apps like Paint & Notepad to solve puzzles, and searching for files on your computers that you didn't put there... Who is she? Why did she appear on your desktop? Let's dive into her memories and find out.

Microsoft's top executives gather for their weekly meeting where they discuss how to ruin my day

Executive 1: Welcome to the weekly meeting of [strike]The Great Evil Villainous League Of Evil Villains[/strike] Microsoft.
Executive 1: Today we gather here to discuss a grave matter.
Executive 2: No....... You don't mean.......
Executive 3: Everything but that...............
Executive 1: That's right. It's been over a week since Doctor Shinobi had to work on Outcore even though it's been almost 2 years since the game came out!
*All the executives rumble in panic*
Executive 1: Now, my fellow companions of capitalism, we must quickly devise a plan otherwise Doctor Shinobi will be able to work on new games.
Executive 2: Yes....
Executive 3: A plan...
Executive 4: An evil plan...
Executive 2: Let's make French names unreadable for Outcore!
Executive 1: NO. We already did it.
Executive 3: We're rich. Let's use our lawyers to threaten Doctor Shinobi into working on the game, otherwise, we'll sue him!
Executive 17: IMBECILE! Lawyers cost money! We want to stay rich. We need to think about something else...
The poor underpaid intern who makes coffee for the executives: What if we add "File Explorer" to the title of every open folder?
Everyone: ....
Executive 51: What???
The poor underpaid intern who makes coffee for the executives: I mean Outcore breaks every time we change anything in a Windows update. The developer probably checks if a window is open by looking for its exact name. Surely, something will break If we add a "File Explorer" to the name of every folder and also translate it into a different word when a non-English copy of Windows is installed
Everyone: ?????.........................??.................. GENIUS!

Patch notes

- Fixed a bug where K-Lev's sonar would break near the end of the game on non-English copies of Windows. Thanks, Microsoft.

EDIT: Just to clarify, I'm not actually mad at Microsoft. There is no way they could know such a minor UI change would break Outcore, nor should they care since it affects very few programs (like Outcore and... maybe viruses)
