Gather 'round the campfire, Tribe!
Turn-based prehistoric survival strategy, The Ancients, is OUT NOW IN EARLY ACCESS!
[previewyoutube=WOV-mHjClDA;full][/previewyoutube] It's been quite the journey getting here -- from our Kickstarter to this exciting Early Access launch (and beyond) -- and we couldn't have done it without your support. Thank you so much for helping us get here; we are touched by the enthusiasm and patience you've shown us throughout the development period. Although this information can be found on the game's store page, we'd like to take the time to post it here to remind players our plans for early access: Why Early Access? “Early access allows us to get a better feel on player feedback, both in terms of balancing, changes to mechanics, or features that would help with the overall quality of life in the game and its campaign and sandbox experiences. With our small team, early access also helps us prioritize certain content in the game and better track down bugs.” Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access? “8 - 12 months” How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version? “We plan to add new research tech, biomes, maps, craftables, resources, and animals. We will also be adding and removing content according to player feedback.” What is the current state of the Early Access version? “The game mechanics are complete. Bugs exist and the game is not fully polished. Content is not fully finished. As mentioned, we plan to add new research tech, biomes, maps, craftables, resources, and animals.” Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access? “The game will remain the same price during and after early access. We have no plans to change the price.” How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process? “Community feedback is an important part of our development process. We regularly incorporate feedback both from the Steam discussion and our Discord to ensure that players are getting the best possible experience.” If you have any questions or found a bug (or just want to say hi!), feel free to post them here in the discussions or join our Discord. After all, when you're here, you're tribe! Thanks again for all the support -- see you in The Ancients!
