0.29.7 patch notes
0.29.7 improves various systems and prepares us for update 0.30.0, which will bring a whole new level to explore, new enemy types, a new combat stance, new alchemical potions, fishing, and more.
- Adds a combo counter
- Retimes blocking so that block times match better with block animations
- Adds the ability to attack without locking on
- Adds a feature where attacking near an enemy will automatically lock you on to them
- Overhauls the spell system, tying spell casting to combo length rather than specific combo patterns
- Larger combos cast more powerful variants of spells
- Modifies spells to make them more cohesive
- Attacking no longer locks out Marcus's movement
- Improved Tutorials
- Moves the free dodge and jump button to A on Xbox controller
- Moved the quest scan button to Y
- Improves magic UI and soul collection readability
- Various minor UI fixes
- Fixes a bug where bosses would regain all of their health
- Fixes a bug where Marcus could get caught under the lift in level one if he was too close to a wall.
- Adds more potions and alchemy ingredients to level one
- Adds new quest reward to Forgotten Valor quest
