[b]We’re honored to welcome you aboard our Nuclear Sub. Today- in the first of many devlogs we’d like to show you some basic concepts for our game, as well as share the progress we’ve made thus far! 📝 Without further ado, let’s get started! 🤩[/b]

If you’re fans of the submarine technology you may find this magnificent watercraft eerily similar. That’s right! [b]The unit you’ll get to command, although changed here and there, is a replica of the historical USS-Nautilus[/b]! 💪
[h3]It was the first nuclear submarine to beat all the submerge depth records as well as the first one to pass underneath the North Pole. 🤯[/h3]

Before we walk deeper into the ship, we’d like to share an exciting feature with you. [b]The terrain available in our game is based on the bathymetric maps of the Earth’s northern hemisphere[/b], so we can get actual data about the coast lines, layout of the seabed and more! 🔥
[h3]Keep in mind that the data is overwhelmingly vast so the terrains will be scaled but we’re aiming to give you a taste of the real terrain struggles.[/h3]

During your gameplay, you’ll become a captain and using various available data you’re to give orders to your subordinates. The game will be a FPP experience and you’ll be able to use many tools. 🧰 The on-board systems are still under development but right now we can already promise that you’ll get to use periscope, sonar, radar, reactor with an extra diesel switch, ventilation system, fathometer and more! 🤩 Each of the tools and systems will be explained in more detail in the future devlogs. 🙂

[h3][b]All of the tools and systems are based on the actual technology used at that time but we can’t stress enough that this is a computer game and even more than a real experience, it is supposed to give you lots of fun and that’s why we’re modifying the use of those elements so they can fit the gameplay much better. 👍[/b][/h3]

The command system is still in a fairly early stage of development so you’ll have to look forward to the future devlogs if you’re interested in this aspect of the game but as you could see on the first screen in the devlog, [b]your own submarine port hangar is already built and it is safe to say, this place is bound to become an important part of your gameplay[/b]. There, you can [b]upgrade the ship, manage your crew and pick up various missions[/b], which we’ll briefly discuss right now. ⚓
We can’t end the devlog without mentioning the missions especially because [b]we aim to inspire some of them with different tasks the Silent Service performed during the Cold War[/b]. Other missions include reconnaissance, covert missions, reconnoitering or even some torpedo action, although the last category will not really follow any particular historical events.
