Rocket Riot

Get ready for Rocket Riot, an action-packed, side-scrolling, 8-bit shooter where the rockets and the fun never stops! With over 200 levels and over 300 characters, blowing things up has just reached a new level of awesome!
Steam workshop
Hello Rocketeers! With so much destruction and regrowth happening in Rocket Riot we decided to put together this Steam Workshop update for those of you eager enough to put down the rocket launcher for a while and flex those creative muscles. With these new features you can create your own levels to share with friends or family before breaking down those walls to show them how it’s done. You can also bundle a series of levels together and create a campaign for you or your friends to complete. Why not continue the story of Blockbeard with your very own exciting conclusion! This update is the first part of an exciting 2 part feature we have been working on behind closed doors so keep an eye out in the next few weeks for part 2. ;)
Antegods crowdfunding & 8 new characters
To celebrate the Antegods crowdfunding campaign on Fig.co, we’ve added the Antegods mechs as 4 playable characters in true 8-bit glory. Check out the turtle mech below:               The scale in Antegods is quite big with player controlled mechs being larger than big temples. For fun we took one of the Antegods levels and put it into Rocket Riot. The average is about 4x the height and 4x the width making it roughly 16x the size of the Rocket Riot levels! Check out the funky color palette too! The first ideas for Antegods started in 2014. Back then we were considering a more tactical version of Rocket Riot. We knew we wanted to keep the jetpack controlled characters and destructible landscapes but felt that it needed deeper and more tactical gameplay. The backstory with warring Gods and their Mayan worshippers started to fill our heads with lots of great ideas. Scale became important to us and we started to think about huge Mayan temples and even bigger Stonepunk mechs. Antegods draws on inspiration from other MOBA games but we also experimented with a new innovative mechanic where we forced players to co-operate to control a giant weapon. This eventually became the Titan and is central to the Antegods experience. That’s why we have partnered with the great folks over at Fig. Not only can we offer discounts and rewards to our early backers but we can also give those who loved Rocket Riot a chance to invest in its future with Antegods. Our goal is to build a community of hardcore fans and really make Antegods the next big thing in twin stick arena shooters.
