The Steam Mystery Festival came to a close recently and we loved watching streams of our game. We were actually in the Wild West over the festival and thought it’d be an idea to send out postcards to those who played the game live.

As well as participating, we managed to sneak off to investigate some truly wonderful mystery games also taking part in the festival. Here are some of our favourites:
The Case of the Golden Idol

Something genuinely new and fresh, and with fantastic pixel art, The Case of the Golden Idol leaves the investigating firmly in your hands. Search for clues, motives and murder weapons and put them together in your notebook to solve each case. But get the wrong choices, and it’s curtains! We LOVED it.
Grimfield Mystery

Cute and beautiful on the outside, deep and macabre on the inside! Grimfield Mystery features the small village of Grimfield, where the mystery is its middle name. The protagonist Lucas goes along with the wishes of his paranormal-loving parents to check out the local forest, and a new floating hand later, Lucas goes on his adventure!
A Lonely Cabin Trip

When has a solo visit to an isolated island ever gone well?
A Lonely Cabin Trip takes this premise and invites you on a psychological horror adventure with a genuine mystery to uncover. Have you visited before? It all looks familiar, but it shouldn’t, should it? There are different ways to solve problems with several endings too, plus it looks gorgeous!
Wayward Strand

This story-rich adventure left us wanting more. We have to learn about the lives of those living in an airborne hospital, explore the area and generally collect our stories for the school newspaper. Time continues for everyone, so if you don’t investigate one strand of a story, it’s gone til your next playthrough. A wonderful delight of a game.
We spoke to so many players, both old and new, who played Whispers in the West during the festival and saw a lovely bump in wishlists too! Thank you to everyone who tried out our game.
You can still play the demo and wishlist the game now!
