Relentless Frontier is a fast paced sci-fi FPS running on the GZDoom Engine, with a strong focus on mobility, strategy, and exploration. Use your Omnistruct to replicate new weapons and abilities to help you traverse the terrain and demolish threats, while escaping from Ross 128-b in one piece.
After some feedback and an additional round of testing, we've made some fixes and improvements to the Relentless Frontier demo build! Not too many bugs (ironically), but we definitely had plenty of feedback regarding difficulty. Let us know what you think!

[*] The Guardian's leap attack can now be reliably countered by the shotgun! Try it out for yourself, you can blast them out of the air if you react quick enough to them jumping up to wherever you are.
[*] Lowered Slug movement speed on Easy and Medium, and increased it on Relentless. Hopefully cuts down on players getting unfairly overwhelmed.
[*] Omniaxe melee range increased slightly, and the first swing with the Omniaxe when it's actually equipped now affects the correct areas. Melee still does the same amount of damage, but the increased area of effect should make the melee a more viable defensive option vs slugs.
[*] Ambient light levels increased in the secret Peacekeeper upgrade encounter cave. This fight should still be very difficult, but not through blinding the player.
[*] Additional blood added to Slug deaths.
[*] Fixed wacky scrolling cement texture in E1M2 aqueduct encounter room.
[*] Fixed the S.H.E.W.P. lifebar, should behave correctly after loading a save now.
[*] Fixed portal behavior in the flickering rust hallway after the Peacekeeper upgrade arena.
[*] Removed the "Reset to Defaults" option in the menu until the defaults can properly be defined. This was restoring the wrong defaults, and messing up a lot of things behind the scenes.
[*] Fixed the FOV slider, now shows the correct field title, the min/max values were changed to 60/150, and the value increment was changed from 0.1 to 1.
[*] Combined the Advanced Sound submenu with the basic Sound menu.
[*] Midi device option removed (There are no midis. Yet.)
[*] Altered Beta Noire drone spawn rate on Relentless. They shouldn't get stuck on each other anymore.
[*] Increased size of Guardian armor hitsparks for visual clarity.
[*] Added autosave after the Beta Noire fight on E1M4.
[*] Moved Omnitank away from the vent grating in E1M2 waterway secret. Player can no longer grab it from the other side of the grating.
[*] The orange nest goop's friction was decreased from 0.75 to 0.85, slows the same as mud now.
[*] Default value for all volume set to 30%, to avoid blowing out new player's ears on startup.
[*] Indestructible wire spool added to E1M2 scanner secret to avoid softlocks.
