Hey Everyone, I’ve been pretty quiet the last few weeks, but now it’s time for an update! ☺️ So, what’s been going on? What am I working on?
New Network Library
As mentioned before, I’ve been hard at work migrating to a new network library. There are several reasons for this:

Better performance
Lower monthly costs
Local network gameplay (good old LAN without needing internet!)
The last point is still open for discussion, but it’s now possible with the new library! 😃 Let me know if this is something you’d like to see.
Various Improvements
I’m also focused on improving the game across the board. My goal is to refine the existing gameplay rather than adding brand-new features. Here's what I’ve been working on:

Revamped main menu user interface
Enhanced UI feedback during races (PowerUps, crashes, etc.)
A new AI system for racers
A better panorama camera for 4-player split-screen games
Improvements to the new camera views (currently available in beta mode - check settings)
And more...
All of these updates will be included in release 1.5.0, along with the new network library, making for an overall improved game experience!
When is the new update expected?
That’s a tricky question. Right now, I’m aiming for a January/February release next year. If necessary, I might split the update and move some features to a later release - let’s see how it goes! You might wonder, “Why not finish one topic first?” The answer is that migrating to the new network library requires a lot of testing with friends. While waiting between test sessions, I tackle smaller improvements to make the most of my time. Most of these enhancements will be part of release 1.5.0. Stay tuned, and thanks for your patience! 😊
