Paranormal Tales is a next-gen horror game based on found footage built in Unreal Engine 5. You experience and play through each tragic tale of those who went missing from the viewpoint of bodycams, phones, and VHS cameras. Do you have what it takes to play through the end of the footage?
Dear Paranormal Investigators,
The development of Paranormal Tales started roughly eight months ago as a passion project from two close friends, Joure and myself (Joe). We would never have predicted in a million years that a one-minute reveal trailer would amass millions of views and an enormous amount of positive engagement. It’s safe to say you all love the vision and execution we’re aiming for. It may not look like it on the surface, but so much time, effort, planning, and iteration after iteration has gone into the development of PT during those eight months. This includes optimisation, storytelling, countless game design documents, unravelling the fantastic tech of UE5, and so much more. But we need extra time.
We want to execute that vision to the highest possible standard and give the care and love we believe PT deserves. We certainly will not rush out a half-baked game for some extra cash. That’s not us, and it wouldn’t be fair on you.
We’re incredibly proud to announce that our close friends over at Digital Cybercherries will be helping us achieve our vision – and are taking on a publishing and development role. What does this mean for you? We now have more resources, experience, and knowledge to make something special here. It also means seven instead of two indie developers are working on the game. Although we are still a small team, we are incredibly hardworking and committed and already have a close working relationship.
Together with Digital Cybercherries, we aim to create the most terrifying and immersive horror game you have ever played.
