Hello again everyone! I'd like to share more details about upcoming new features that I told you in our Index Patch announcement. Since the announcement was about Valve Index, I thought most people who have no interest in Index didn't see it. As you see, since day 1, we have always been listening to you and spending our time on working with game balance, new features, changes and fixes. Thanks to your incredible feedback, we were able to take The Stranger to another level with more options and features. Now here are some features that we're working right now to include in our upcoming patches: [h3][b]SMART AI[/b][/h3] Originally we begun The Stranger as a[b] non-VR[/b] [b]open world FPS [/b]project. We have created an [b]advanced AI [/b]with [b]voice recognition[/b] technology. Our aim was to create a Multiplayer experience in a Single Player game. We were planning to include a VR option as well. Then we saw that graphical limitations and the whole VR gaming experience is much more different than a regular PC shooter gameplay, we decided to create the VR version of Stranger first. They said it wasn't so much fun because it's too hard to play. Because our AI back then had features like [b]cover, group, flee, regroup, throw grenades, make suicide attempts, fall back and strike again[/b]; they said it was too tiring to kill them thus eliminating the fun element. We were wrong to accept this statement and made our AI less smarter to ease the gameplay of the VR version. We thought that most comfortable VR shooting experience can be achieved with an AI that don't move so much and don't force us to move 360 degree to make strategy, cover etc. That's why we have created an extremely basic version from a monster we called [b]Smart AI[/b]. Now in our [b]next upcoming content patch[/b], we'll be introducing this system to you. Of course we will not be forcing everyone to play a much more harder game. It will be available to be turned on/off in the [b]Comfort Options.[/b] Hopefully I'll post some videos from the latest footage in a few days. [h3][b]DOUBLE HANDED GUNS[/b][/h3] Yeap. After Smart AI, this is the feature we'd like to add so that you'll be able to shoot with two guns at the same time. We'll start with pistol version. Like other guns we are planning to create 4 customizations as well. When you wield double handed weapons, you will not be able to throw grenades and use your wrist blade as the controls will be used for your left hand weapon. When you select next or previous weapon, you'll be able to continue using your grenades and wrist blade. If you liked what we did, we'll continue adding new weapons to double handed series. So when we do this, double handed pistols will be the 6th weapon apart from regular pistols, energy guns, shotguns, flak cannons and rocket launchers. So these two are the most important contents we're planning to do. If you have additional suggestions, feel free to write and give your opinion.
