There is a 'presence' haunting the long forgotten church of 'Northfield'. Angry spirits seek revenge for an ancient crime, from the terrible time of The Black Death. Ghost-hunter, Nigel Danvers, has been sent to investigate the case, using his kitbag of ghost-hunting gadgets, on the loneliest night of the year.
Just in time for Christmas, and the Winter Solstice, developer Darkling Room and publisher Iceberg Interactive have released a free demo for Silent Night, the new stand-alone instalment of the acclaimed Crown ghost-hunting adventure franchise.

While the full game is now slated for Q1-2019, fans of the series will hopefully rejoice in being able to play for free for approximately 4 hours with this expansive preview that includes the first few hours of gameplay, set at Northfield Church during an endless Christmas Eve.
Silent Night is the first in the Crown series to be presented in 3D, offering greater detail and exploration than ever before, alongside the brain-teasing puzzles and spooky atmosphere fans expect.
Jonathan Boakes, creator and writer of the Crown franchise comments: “The festive start of Silent Night launches for Solstice, for everyone. New tech, new style, but it’s the same old predicament for Nigel Danvers; who is the ghost in a landscape haunted by the actions of the past. I’m thrilled to release the first part of Silent Night while things feel festive. It’s the first movement in a story that wraps up at Easter. The Winter is long, bleak and timeless. What traps Northfield Church in a recurring nightmare that only the Spring sun can wither.”
