Gaia Project

Gaia Project is the digital adaptation of the boardgame Gaia Project created by Helge Ostertag and Jens Drögemüller and published by "Feuerland Verlag". It is a 1-4 player strategy game. It plays in the same universe as Terra Mystica and continues the adventure in the far future.

Dear space travelers, we are happy to share our first ideas for the new scenario feature! And we would like you to join the discussion. [b]Tell us which scenarios you like and if you got more ideas: Feel free to share them here[/b]. The idea so far: [b]14 Challenges, one for each faction.[/b] Each challenge will have a premade setup and opponent factions where you can play against any of the AI difficulty levels. What will make the challenges really cool is that we will often bend the rules a little bit in each scenario – maybe some new unique tech tiles or scoring conditions. Some challenges will also have an extra condition that you have to satisfy in addition to winning the game. For example, maybe the Geodens challenge will require you to win and have 9 planet types colonized. We have high-level concepts for a couple of these challenges and are fleshing out the details on some more. Some more example challenges: [b]The Spice Must Flow[/b] – Whenever anyone colonizes a desert planet, they gain a choice of either 1q, 4c, or 4vp. There are no q on any of the round boosters and you must win the game and be in all 10 sectors. [b]Cornucopia[/b] – The power level of all buildings is increased by 1. You have to build all 18 of your structures. [b]Fahrenheit 451[/b] – An anti-research game. You play Ambas and are trying to stifle innovation throughout the galaxy. Some of the round scorings are negative points for advancing research. You cannot have any research areas above Level 2. [b]Planet Killer[/b] – You play Nevlas against the Ivits. The Ivits are heavily favored in the setup and start with a few mines in addition to their normal PI. However, the advanced tech on the Science track is a special action that costs 12 power and completely destroys a planet. [b]More Power![/b] – Each of the power actions has their cost reduced by 1. Our community on discord also suggested: [b]Mirror Match[/b] - Play against the same faction as your own. [hr][/hr] For the people who are interested in some of the [b]new game components[/b] we’re thinking of (some of these are hinted at in the upcoming expansion): [expand type=showmore] • Power action: 3p --> 2 temp range • Power action: 4p --> 1c, 1o, 1k • QIC action: 4q --> federation tile • QIC action: 5q --> 2 research advancements • Federation tile: 4vp, 2q, resources at end are worth 1vp per 2 • End scoring: most tech levels • Round booster: +2q, +4pw, -1o • Round booster: +2c, 3vp per federation • Standard tech: +1 permanent range • Standard tech: immediately build mine with free step • Standard tech: special action of spend 1k to get 2o • Standard tech: special action of spend 4c to get 8vp • Advanced tech: immediately 1vp per satellite • Advanced tech: immediately 5vp per PI and Academy [/expand] [hr][/hr] So, what do you think?
