Sanctuary Saga v1.2 is LIVE!

Sanctuary Saga

Protect your caravan and face the brutal Untamed Wilds in roguelite turn-based RPG Sanctuary Saga. Engage in row-based combat across multiple varied biomes and keep your group together using a dynamic relationship system.

Hey Caravan Crew!! We hope you all are as excited for v1.2 as we are. We are so grateful for the community feedback that helped shape these changes. This really feels like the game’s final form, where any major systems added in the future are likely to be DLC expansions as opposed to updates.
Community Support
We wanted to take some time and thank the existing Sanctuary Saga community for partnering with us. Not only has your feedback been super helpful in improving the game but we’ve enjoyed watching your videos and reading your comments. One way players can help out Indie Developers is to simply rate the game on Steam. This has a massive impact on the algorithm and is honestly the next-best way to support us outside of buying the game. Please continue to tell others what you think about the game on your socials or by word-of-mouth. We have great plans for the Untamed Wilds and would love the opportunity to keep making content for you to enjoy!
Sanctuary Saga v1.1 and v1.2 Patch Notes
We’ve already written about v1.1 and 1.2 respectively, so this is just to reiterate that both are on the Default branch now and ready for play! It is recommended that everyone start a fresh Save File since many of the changes are set at Save File initialization. We think you’ll want to experience the new progression system anyway, since we feel it makes the game much more interesting! Full combined patch notes can be found here.
v1.01 Branch on Steam
For those who aren’t wanting to experience the updated content until they’ve finished their runs of v1.01, we will be adding a separate branch on Steam for this. To stay on v1.01, simply right click on Sanctuary Saga in your Steam Library, select Properties, navigate to the Betas tab, and select the appropriate build from the drop down menu. We recommend assigning your Save Files to specific builds so you can keep them between versions if you plan to play through both separately.
Next Steps
Over the course of the next few weeks we’ll be keeping an eye on the Bug Report form and fixing any issues as we’re made aware of them. Once v1.2 is stable for a while we’ll start to look at porting it to OSX and Linux (hoping we can get some help on this one; none of us own a Linux box). As the community grows, we fully intend to make Sanctuary Saga available to as many people as possible on their chosen PC operating system! Unfortunately, a console port is out of scope at this time and we would need to see some serious moves in sales before we can even begin to take on that level of cost. We’ve been asked this several times and wish we had a different answer but RPG Maker MV doesn’t have an easy method for reliably porting to consoles. If this is something we plan for in the future we will post a News update. Phew! That there is an update! Let us know what you think on the Discussion page or in our Discord. See you in the Wilds!
