Renovated and Revamped Demo (Steam Deck Compatibility and More)

Hello everyone! I'm here to bring you this major update to the Demo version of the game. A lot has changed, but the gameplay content of the demo remains the same. The demo continues to have limited gameplay until the first boss of the game. Unfortunately, everyone's progress had to be reset due to many mechanics that will come in the main game. If it hadn't been reset, many bugs would have appeared in the old saves. The game itself has changed a lot in terms of graphics and many quality of life updates have been made to make the gameplay more enjoyable and satisfying. So, let's get to the big list of updates: [b]Graphic Changes:[/b] [list] [*] New updated dialogue arts for ALL NPCs and for Daniello; [*] New updated background art for all environments, including caves, mines, and the Fungmo Kingdom; [*] New Main Menu, much more detailed and updated, including new title art (new game trailer and new store page art coming soon); [*] Added animated logo when starting the game; [*] Updated scenarios for Daniello's House; [*] Some color adjustments in the animations of various elements: enemies, NPCs, objects and items. [/list] [b]Major Changes:[/b] [list] [*] [b]TerranLands now runs on Linux and Steam Deck;[/b] [*] [b]Added new Coin Limit and Coin Bags mechanics:[/b] It may seem like a strange idea, but these new mechanics bring many benefits. The coin limit encourages players to buy more items in the shops, which makes the shop something much more used. And in the demo version we have 4 new Coin Bags, which limit your coins to up to 600 coins, which for the content that the demo has to offer, is quite a lot. And these Coin Bags work as a new type of equipment, which means that there will be many Coin Bags that in exchange for a lower coin limit, will give you some bonus stats, such as more damage, more mana, more health. So it works like a fifth piece of equipment. [*] [b]The Mine Entrance has changed position, now it is between Daniello's house and Lolla's stable:[/b] This change was made because many players forgot or didn't even know that there was a quest mechanic in the game that can be found inside the mines, even with the warning from Demetrius, Daniello's uncle, when returning home at the beginning of the game. So, in order to make this mechanic easier to remember, the entrance to the mines was repositioned; [*] [b]A Warning Icon will now appear above the Mine Entrance when completing a Quest or when Demetrius is calling you:[/b] This complements what was said in the point above, it makes the quests much harder to forget; [*] [b]Updated Cave Map Table interface:[/b] Now the Map Table in front of Lolla has more information, it now shows how many World Pillars are needed to reach the next level of the cave and which locations are still to be discovered in the same cave, great for those who want to do 100%. [*] [b]Added new option in the options menu:[/b] Change the game's camera mode between Free Camera (old camera version) and Smooth Camera (new, more dynamic and smooth version, ideal for the intended gameplay); [*] [b]Added new option in the options menu:[/b] Enable/Disable screen shake; [*] [b]Gamepad gameplay improvements:[/b] It is now possible to move the cursor more precisely and quickly using the controller's D-Pad in any game interface. It is also possible to quickly drag items from one part of the inventory to another by holding the left analog stick (L3) and clicking on the item normally. [*] [b]More variety for caves:[/b] New rooms and cave layout possibilities added, to make cave exploration less repetitive. [b]Giant resources have been added[/b], they can be found rarely throughout the caves, they are more resistant, but give much more resources. [*] [b]Halloween Event Added (Available in Demo Version):[/b] Adds special enemies and other secrets between October 23rd and 31st in the Verdant Caves (you can change your computer's date to have this event available if it's not October). [/list] [b]Minor Changes:[/b] [list] [*] New item added [b]Special Yarold Coin[/b]: Found in Yarold's shops, can be used to change current shop items for new items (reroll); [*] Added new interactions with Magnolio, Daniello's father. If there is no story cutscene to show, Magnolio will be doing something inside his house instead of disappearing.; [*] Added new dialogues for Demetrios when collecting Quest rewards; [*] Improved the hitbox of melee weapons, improving the accuracy of attacks; [*] Hammers do slightly more damage; [*] Daniello's hands now appear on the save icon. [/list] [b]Bug Fixes:[/b] [list] [*] Fixed bug with stairs. When climbing a staircase, Daniello would fall at the end; [*] Fixed bug with the health bar sometimes turning white; [*] Fixed bug with volume options, even when "muted" you could hear it very quietly; [*] Fixed auto-aim point (gamepad) on training dummies; [*] Fixed save bugs.
