To everyone looking forward to the next update for Gensokyo Night Festival, First of all, we apologize for not posting any updates in September. We also apologize for the ongoing delay in the release of the next game update. tea_basira is still working on the game, but we still haven't gotten to a point where we can release a proper update. However, as you may know, this situation has persisted for a considerable period of time. Therefore, even though there are still many bugs and unfinished portions, we have decided to release the in-development build as a private beta on Steam to share with you our current development progress. [i]Important Notice[/i] [url=https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/1122050/view/3329862187772963083]As announced in this previous [/url]Steam News post, when we moved the project to the newest version of Unreal Engine, major bugs were created not just in the new Stage 3, but also in the previously completed and released Stages 1 and 2. Please note that since this is still an in-development build, there are numerous crash bugs, other bugs of varying severity, placeholder assets, and unfinished portions still present. When we release this private beta, we will share the password for it in a sepeate post. If you want to see our current development progress, you may try the private beta by selecting Gensokyo Night Festival in your Steam library and entering the password in Settings>Properties>Betas." This in-development version will save in the game install folder instead of the save folder the current public build (updated up to Chapter 2) uses, so even if you have existing save files, the game will start from the very beginning. We plan to release the in-development version private beta on [b]October 25, 2023 (JST).[/b] When the beta goes live, we will announce the password, name of the beta branch, and where to go to start Chapter 3 in-game.
