Ubisoft is auto-banning Rainbow Six Siege players who use hate speech - and some players are using this to their advantage.
PC Gamer reports that while the ban initially last just 27 minutes, persistent offenders can see the ban lengths increase, or - after a third offence - find themselves the subject of official investigations that may result permanent suspensions.
Earlier this year Ubisoft announced its plans to improve the online community for R6 players, including better chat monitoring. The publisher has now implemented the changes, insisting that "any language or content deemed illegal, dangerous, threatening, abusive, obscene, vulgar, defamatory, hateful, racist, sexist, ethically offensive or constituting harassment is forbidden".
