Portal™ is a new single player game from Valve. Set in the mysterious Aperture Science Laboratories, Portal has been called one of the most innovative new games on the horizon and will offer gamers hours of unique gameplay.
Portal with RTX is now available, and it’s free for anyone who owns Portal! To play, you’ll need to go here to add it your library.
Developed by NVIDIA Lightspeed Studios, Portal with RTX completely reimagines Portal’s graphics with full ray tracing and other graphical improvements that boost immersion and graphical realism. In Portal with RTX, you can experience realistic lights that bounce off of every surface, and cast reflections on every object. Light even shines through portals!
If you aren’t familiar with ray tracing, it’s a method of graphics rendering that simulates the behavior of light. When playing a ray-tracing capable game on a compatible GPU, lighting, reflections, and optical effects appear much more realistic.
