[Playtest Recruitment] Rebuilding the Game After 180 Days of Demo Launch?

Based on the classic gameplay of "Dou Dizhu," Happy Cards is a roguelike card strategy game that has received significant player feedback since its participation in the October New Releases Festival. These suggestions have made us realize fundamental flaws in the game's core mechanics and logic! However, since the game is developed by just two people, we hope to gather more ideas to improve the gameplay further. After thorough discussions among our team, we've decided to rebuild the game from scratch. To ensure the revamped game meets player expectations, we are now recruiting players for testing. If you'd like to join, simply join our Happy Cards Discord: https://discord.gg/NVTbmpXscx. And send a private message to the group admin to receive your test access. We are offering 500 testing slots, distributed on a first-come, first-served basis! Key Updates and Changes: Core Gameplay Overhaul We've introduced an attack boost mechanism for card combinations, enhancing the impact of powerful hands. For example, "King Bomb" adds +70 attack, while "Three with One" adds +20 attack, and so on. New Rule Card Mechanic Players can purchase rule cards in the shop to remove cards, add cards, or change card suits. Imagine having only Jokers in your hand—exciting, right? Simplified Systems The redundant rune system has been removed. We've redesigned all spell cards and the relic system to ensure every spell card has a distinct purpose rather than just adding volume. Relics now directly influence deck-building, such as converting all card suits to Spades and Hearts or adding five Aces to your hand. Distinct Character Traits Each character now has unique playstyles. For example, Angie uses "5 Wildcards," while Lulu's hand contains only Spades and Hearts. Although we've rebuilt the game, we still need extensive feedback and suggestions from players to refine it further. Therefore, we earnestly invite you to participate in our playtest! Join our Happy Cards Discord group: https://discord.gg/NVTbmpXscx We also encourage you to share your thoughts—whether suggestions or criticisms, we will humbly accept them. After testing, please fill out our survey; your feedback is incredibly important to our small indie development team. Thank you for your support!
