Patch Notes - 15/10/24

Flock

Flock is a multiplayer co-op game about the joy of flight and collecting adorable flying creatures with your friends. Soar through beautiful landscapes, seeking out rare and elusive creatures to add to your flock.

Hello folks! We have a new update for Flock today that makes quite a few changes to gameplay balance and introduces some new gameplay features to the game. The headlines changes are a reduction in the required amount of creatures caught to become an expert in that family across the board to speed up this process. We have also added an ability to clear your flock completely for those players who find a full sized flock too stressful and messy. We have made various other changes to the game and they are detailed below. These changes along with the changes from the previous update at the end of July are also available today on Playstation and Xbox platforms. Please do get in touch at support@hllwpnds.com if you have any questions or come across any bugs or issues with this patch. Thanks! Patch Notes - 15/10/24 Larger changes: Reduced required amount of creatures to catch to become an expert in a family across the board to speed up this endgame process. Added the ability to clear your flock so players can return to having a smaller flock if they wish. Added a new quest to remind players to try and wake the Mystery Skyfish if they approach it's cave but don't currently have any Crystal Sprugs. Settings to turn off Expert Glow on creatures and a option to reduce camera shake when boosting. Both are set to on by default. LargeUI set on by default for SteamDeck and improved font sizes in a variety of places including tooltips to improve readability. Smaller changes and bug fixes: Fixed some holes in the ground that were visible when using lower foliage quality settings. Long beasts now leave feeders more gracefully. Fixed issue where camouflaged creatures' eyes would not render correctly on first spawn. Lowered a meadow that was slightly above ground level. Fixed issue where talking to an NPC could override a tutorial. Fixed issue where creatures returning to a flock would be stuck at the wrong angle for the duration of a play session. Fixed issue where expert glow particles were not cleared correctly when swapping creatures in and out of a flock that could cause visual issues. Mystery Skyfish quests restart correctly if a player quits during the chase section.
