Hope you all are fine and gearing up for a great holiday season. The team has been hard at work on a patch for Crowntakers and today we are releasing it. Patch 1.1 brings some substantial changes to the game and we are pretty sure that some of you will be happy about them and some of you maybe wont. Over the holidays, we will collect all the feedback about the patch we can get as we prepare for a big content patch in February. Major changes:
General:
• Normal mode is now unlocked by default
Control:
• Battle: the camera can now be moved by placing the mouse on the edges of the screen
Taverns:
• There is no more tavern in the first stage
• Taverns are now placed at the starting point of a stage
• Hiring mercenaries now cost 2 gold instead of 8
• Renting a room in a tavern no longer heal your mercenaries (still cures exhaustion)
• There now is a small icon above a tavern to show that a mercenary can be hired here
Blacksmith:
• There is one blacksmith per floor, randomly positioned
• The blacksmith sells runes only, you have to find craft items by yourself
Worldmap:
• There are now easy and hard battles indicated by special icons above the enemies
• There are less “search buildings” events
• There are more “narrative events”
Exhaust system:
• The exhaust system now has 4 steps of exhaust instead of 5

• Exhaustion is increased with each turn of a battle by 7% in easy mode and 8% in normal mode
Balancing:
General:
• Improved RNG engine
• The hero starts a new game with 5 golds
• The price and heal statistic of healing items have changed
• The positioning of mercenaries at the beginning of a battle is less random
• Battles and buildings loot have changed
Mercenaries:
• Alchemist (Velana): range radius increased by 1
• Alchemist (Velana): attacks can’t be miss or dodge
• Alchemist (Velana): base strength is 2 for all archetype
• Alchemist (Velana): can hit friendly unit
• Assassin (Jeda): archetype 2, skill radius is now 8
• Crossbowman (Meledar): archetype 2 and 3, skill changed
• Standard bearer (Melic): archetype 3, skill cooldown is 1 turn.
Enemies:
• Lieutenant Shear can be hit by ranged units
• Dark Knight stats have changed
• Invisible thieves now become visible before an attack. They can trigger overwatch mode and guard mode
Bug fixes:
• Battle: Fixed a bug where multiple units could be on the same tile.
• Minimap: the chest icon is no longer displayed if there is no chest in the building
• Fixed a bug when a player clicked too fast on “Continue” at the beginning of a new game
• Fixed the attack description of Erus (he can’t attack on melee)
• Achievement: “The accident” was not unlocked in certain circumstances
• Achievement: Fixed a bug with the “The explorer” achievement
