I came to find the truth and to find my friend. But this forbidden place is entangled in war. They prey on us night and day. I must find the strength to rise from the shadows. Soon they will all know my name. My name is UEDI.
In UEDI: Shadow of the Citadel players will shoot and loot their way through a huge Open World Action RPG featuring a colourful 80's anime aesthetic and soundtrack and the good news is you'll get a 20+ minute taste of what's to come in this awesome time-limited demo!
The game world is littered with discoverable tales the player can piece together to understand the planet's violent past. Scavenged items and spare parts can be used by the player to interact with in-game devices and contraptions in order to solve puzzles. Exploration, looting and crafting are key to survival.
Players will take on the dictator HAZUKI and his army of mechs by engaging them in satisfying realtime combat. HAZUKI's machines are relentless in their pursuit of UEDI and the rebels. In this demo you'll encounter two types of enemy, the menacing PARTITE and the dangerous airborne DRO.
During combat the in-game radar informs the player of their combat status. CAUTION when enemies are close by. DANGER for active combat situations and HUNTED when new waves of enemies are incoming.
To even the odds the player must unleash the full potential of UEDI's NanoSuit. Each suit can be levelled up to gain new suit abilities and these abilities will be revealed as the game's development progresses. We'll be showcasing the progress on these suits and abilities during our live stream.
A loadout system enables players to customise UEDI's appearance and configure each suit with specific equipment allowing for dynamic approaches to gameplay without the need for constant inventory management. We'll be showing some of these features in our live stream too.
The game's story is delivered through fully animated cut-scenes and in-world conversations with NPCs, you'll get a taste of the story from this demo.
When you play through the demo we think you'll find it hard to believe we're such a super small team (just two of us and only one is a developer) and we're confident you'll enjoy your time with UEDI thoroughly!
