Producer Takahashi has a message for all travellers setting out on their new journey.
"Our key words when creating Octopath Traveller II were “evolution” over the first game and giving it even greater “depth”. We gave all our efforts to cover everything we wanted to do with the original but didn’t quite make it in.
The stories of Octopath Traveller I and II are completely independent of each other, so there is absolutely no problem with starting your journey from II.
It has been made more accessible and easier to play in numerous ways, so I could even say that starting with II might be recommended."
