Hello, this is SpicaSoft, the developer of LumineNight.
We would like to provide an explanation regarding a recent controversy in Korean internet community.

It has been brought to our attention that an issue exists in the in-game running animation for "Selen Foster," where a problematic hand gesture appears in certain frames. This particular frame is from the second frame of Selen's running animation, which was created during the early development of LumineNight. The animation was intended to naturally depict the character opening and closing her hand while running.
The speculation that this gesture was intentionally included with "malicious intent or ties to specific ideologies," as expressed by some users, is completely unfounded. We also want to clarify that the artist responsible for this resource was a male, not a female.
To address this issue, the controversial animation frame will be revised and replaced as soon as possible to eliminate any room for misunderstanding.
We acknowledge that we should have conducted thorough checks before release to prevent any potential misunderstandings. However, during development, our entire team was focused on managing a heavy workload within tight deadlines, which caused us to neglect proper quality assurance. We deeply apologize for our oversight and the resulting controversy caused by our insufficient handling of this matter.
SpickaSoft is a small development team united by a single goal: to create meaningful games that resonate with players. We want to assure you that no one on our team has the intent, nor do we work in an environment that would allow for the deliberate inclusion of elements tied to extreme ideologies or controversies from the real world.
We regret that misunderstandings and the resulting disappointment have disrupted the immersion and enjoyment of LumineNight before its story could fully resonate with players. As developers, we find this deeply unfortunate and sincerely apologize.
We humbly accept all criticism of our mistakes and will strive to improve as a team.
Thank you.
