We hope you enjoy working with PD Howler 9.6 - and we thank you for using it. Perhaps you've come to realize you're not doing much work on animations and video? Is that what's holding you back from upgrading to v10? If you don't work with video and animations, you might not be interested in spending money on v10, for a tool that you will only use in part. PD Howler might not be for you. To address this, we are releasing the mid-level version of Project Dogwaffle: PD Artist. PD Particles = entry level, mostly just for painting. PD Artist = Paint, Visual FX and 3D PD Howler = Paint, VFX, 3D and Animation/Video Like PD Howler, PD Artist goes beyond PD Particles, in that it adds a lot of visual FX tools and filters. It also adds a 3D pipeline to model and render 3D landscapes from elevation maps. It adds a raytracer too, Puppy Ray. And in v11, that one gets quite a boost. Wait,... did we say v11? Why would you buy PD Artist v10 when v11 is around the corner? Well, don't worry. For PD Artist, we'll do something very special: Buy PD Artist now, and get v10. And then also get the upgrade to v11 once it is released to Steam. Not sure when that will be exactly, but it's probably just a few weeks away. Perhaps a little more.
