Hey everyone! We're back with a big update to CometStriker: Labyrinth Mode! In the Labyrinth you will encounter over 180 new hand-crafted rooms, alongside rooms from Arcade, assembled into 5 levels to play through. A : Labyrinth Mode is a procedurally generated campaign, with various layout remixes and twice the possible rooms to give you a fresh playthrough every time! Q : Are the enemy picks and placement randomly generated? A: No. We set about building the new rooms the same way we did for the main game. You get a randomized selection of them, but the rooms themselves are purposefully designed to be fun and challenging. Q : How do I access Labyrinth Mode? A : Labyrinth mode is accessible in the Game Start menu. It is unlocked once you beat the first planet on any difficulty, in Arcade Mode. Q : Are there leaderboards for Labyrinth Mode? A : Yes, same as with all the other modes. It's at the end of the list, just before it cycles back to arcade. It does not differentiate between seeds, though, all seeds record to the same Labyrinth Mode Leaderboard. So keep that in mind. Q : Can Labyrinth Mode be used to unlock characters / modes? A : No, you still have to do those things in Arcade Mode. However, Labyrinth Mode does come with its own set of new achievements! Q : Can a friend and I play the same randomly generated campaign? A : Yes! We have an optional Seed Entry screen. If you and a friend use the same seeds, you'll get the same playthrough layout. ---------- Labyrinth Mode was a lot of work, but we think it makes a great addition to CometStriker.
