"Moth Kubit" First Demo Now Available on Steam!

Dear Bug-ddies, Thank you for your attention and support for "Moth Kubit". Today, we are excited to announce that the Demo for “Moth Kubit” is now available! In this demo, you will step into the shoes of Moth Kubit, attempt to wrap up the procedure for your recent promotion, and start exploring a world that is on the brink of collapse and reconstruction. You will uncover the significance behind work, life, and seemingly-meaningless social norms. We aim to offer a glimpse into the intriguing stories of those bug-reaucrats in a mega-corporation, and we hope you can enjoy it. As the developer, I would like to say that “Moth Kubit” is a highly personalized game that embodies a certain tone of “indifference,” just like modern society as a whole. The “Final Process” looms for every one of us, yet life is always stuck so deep that it eclipses any end-of-world scenario, just like in a Kafka novel. If this resonates with you, don't be too discouraged. At least in the world of “Moth Kubit,” you can take whatever actions that may go beyond your wildest imagination but could still turn out to be the “effective” solution for just about any situation! Every co-worker of Moth Kubit is trapped in layers of repression imposed by routine, norms, and the lack of true fulfillment. They eventually become shallow because their complexity as a human is brutally compressed, and the fragmented entertainment consumption is never a cure. Any depth that can be obtained in life becomes irrelevant because we are compelled to chase perpetual “adulthood.” My friends and I have similar feelings toward that, and I even believe that would be applicable for every single one of us. I guess, even if my father lives longer, we’d both agree that there is not much difference between our lives - though they should be. He feels that he has – unfortunately - wasted his life, while I think there is nothing in life that is not a waste. This has since become our creative spark for “Moth Kubit”, our team has been considering how this game can resonate with everyone who is a part of modern society throughout the development process. This could be the biggest attraction and the essential value that we wanted to convey through this game. Whether you still consider yourself as a child or an adult, living a meaningful life or not... Everyone can project themselves onto an insect trapped in a cubicle, cold and isolated. What's even better is that we would like to believe that everyone actually has a desire deep in their heart to do something about it, and that may change the whole picture. I want to believe that many chains can be broken by just expressing these desires. The future of this cruel reality is in the hands of each player, where the coldness, isolation, as well as the power to change the world co-exist. This is the true message that we wanted to convey through “Moth Kubit.” For those who live a mechanical life, we hope this game could be a shot in the arm. We also want to let you know that since this is our team’s first game, we knew there would still be many shortcomings that would require further polishing. We would like to ask for your patience and feedback to further improve the overall gameplay experience. We are confident that we can always do better. Finally, special thanks to our linguist Yuri Tanaka for her amazing work on the Japanese localization of “Moth Kubit”!
