An attractive puzzle platformer where you use magnetism to escape a factory. Meet a cast of magnet characters and work together to solve logical conundrums.
Hello!
First things first - thank you so much to everyone who has supported the launch of Mind Over Magnet! It has been utterly overwhelming to see so many people buy, play, rate, and enjoy the game!
To celebrate, here's a special announcement...

That's right, the inevitable Mind Over Magnet plush! I teamed up with Makeship to make a super soft plush version of Magnus.
We're currently crowdfunding the product - we need to shift 200 plush in the next 20 days for this thing to be a reality. So if you want one, please take a look!
(If we don't reach the goal, you'll get your money back. But I will be sad).
Also - I wanted to thank you for the honest feedback you've given on every element of the game. Your critiques and criticisms will all be used to help me make stuff in the future. Not to mention all of your detailed bug reports. Which brings me to... the game's first patch!
Mind Over Magnet Version 1.0.3
The new version is available now. And has the following changes:
New features
- Controller Glyphs setting allows you to pick the icons that match whatever controller you're using - including Xbox, Dualshock 4 and 5, Switch Pro, and Steamdeck. "Auto" should match whatever you plug in, but use this feature if it doesn't!
- "World Select" feature has been replaced with "Level Select". Once you complete the game you can now replay any level you like.
- Developer commentary now plays during cutscenes, so triggering a story moment won't stop the entire commentary track.
- The "Need a hint?" pop-up will automatically hide itself after a few seconds.
- Patreon credits are slower, so easier to read - but new switch allows you to speed them up significantly.
Level changes
- 3-11 Spiky has been overhauled to be less fiddly.
- 1-10, 2-3, 2-15, 3-14, 4-10 have been tweaked to avoid unintentional solutions.
- 4-4 has been renamed as name made solution too obvious.
- Small, misc bug fixes in 1-13, 4-6, 4-8, 4-12, 5-6.
Bug fixes
- Dying during a level transition no longer soft locks the game.
- Achievements should now unlock when playing on Mac.
- You can no longer jump on a springing spring to get a super jump.
- Right thumbstick deadzone now matches left thumbstick
As for Steam Cloud... it doesn't really work right now! But I'm working on getting that sorted soon.
If you still want to check out the original launch version (speedrunners, perhaps?), you can activate it from the "Betas" page on the game's properties panels.
Thanks!
Mark
