While it may seem like a small addition, it required a massive effort from our two-person team to rewrite the game's core and thoroughly test it. In the original design, Farm Keeper was meant for shorter sessions, which caused us to overlook the need for mid-game saves. We apologize for any inconvenience this caused and appreciate your patience and understanding. [h2]How to Use Mid-Game Save:[/h2] Simply pause your game during a session and hit "Exit", the game will automatically save. When you return to Farm Keeper, hit "Continue" to pick up where you left off. [h2]Why No Manual Save and Save Slots:[/h2] In response to your valuable feedback, we designed the new save feature to provide seamless continuity from where you left off in longer gaming sessions. Implementing a save slot system would have added unnecessary complexity and hindered the convenience of this feature. Furthermore, during our development, we discovered that manual saving could potentially lead to undesired play styles and exploits that jeopardized the integrity of Farm Keeper. This led us to opt for the mid-game save as a more balanced solution. [h2]Limitations:[/h2] For larger farms, mid-game saves may take longer to process, and there's a slight risk of corruption for farms with 10,000+ tiles. To safeguard your progress, mid-game saves are kept separate from the main save file. Please note that mid-game saves do not support Steam Cloud. [h2]Bug Reporting:[/h2] While we've conducted thorough testing, there may still be some hidden bugs lurking in the game. If you encounter any issues, whether related to the mid-game save or not, please reach out to us through the Steam community.
