This is what my mom warned my dad the other day when he tried to grab a pen from the pizza delivery guy. This interaction is what inspired the cluster objects that you see in Hard Mode. We'd been getting feedback that people wanted more educational elements brought to Virus Popper, and we thought the warning about touching public objects should be spread to the world. Touching keyboards, retail kiosks, and touchscreens in public increases your chances of getting sick. So avoid touching them and stay safe! With a lot of countries requesting people wear masks right now, we felt it was appropriate to teach about the importance of wearing masks. Specifically, you will hear that HiGene points out to users that it's not just about wearing the mask to keep yourself safe… it is just as important that people wear masks in order to keep other people from getting sick. [img]{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/37151365/4997439f99db0b3045519064787419c9e96a4241.png[/img] New Features: - A mask is available for user's to put on and protect themselves from incoming virus. - HiGene explains to the user that masks are just as much about protecting other people as yourself. - Droplet has additional educational lines to teach the user about washing with soap. - Leaderboards can be viewed in-game, with five fully enabled leaderboards available to the user. - High scores are saved and shown to the player onscreen. - 11 Achievements are available for user's to achieve denoting different goals. - An additional gameplay mode, Hard Mode, is added for players to have an additional challenge. - Hard Mode features virus clusters to teach about the danger of using public devices likes touch screens, phones, door handles, and keyboards. - Droplet has multiple new intros in order to add some variation. - After a user puts soap on their hand, they don't have to repeat… in order to make for a less confusing experience. - Music controls allow the user to mute or skip songs if they'd like from the jukebox. - HiGene responds to the user and teaches about social distancing whenever the user touches him. Bug fixes: - Scores disappear and don't overlay title after a game is complete. - Any viruses floating in the air will automatically die after a period of time. - Multiple objects cannot be picked up at the same time. - User can grab the same object that they ended the last game with. - The table is lowered further to make sure that it is out of the way of the user.
