A puzzle platformer with funky physics and mind boggling puzzles requiring out-of-the-box thinking and persistence. Only a few players were able to complete the game. Can you handle it?
This is a first major update since the game was released. This update is focused on fixing all the puzzles that seem hard to execute. The puzzles are changed to use different types of objects, so that the player doesn't have to fiddle with tricky physics anymore.
Some of the hard puzzles are made optional - you can still play them to get the hats. Some puzzles were removed from regular single player story, but you can still play them in co-op. If you want, you can restore the old puzzles (instructions below), which I recommend you do after you complete the main storyline.
Here are the details:
- Major changes to puzzles in Chapter One: now all puzzles have consistent physics. Some hard to execute puzzles are now optional and you can still play them to win hats, but they are not required to complete the chapter.
- The old version of Chapter One is still included in the game package. If you want to play it, go to game's directory and copy the worldo.json file to world.json.
- Added alien underground tunnels in Chapter One to hint some ideas from the main game story.
- Added hint to help you solve the sliding rooms puzzle in Chapter Three. Especially useful for players who play with smaller screen resolutions and can't see much of the surrounding rooms without walking into them.
- Changed level designs on Chapter Five that allowed you to get stuck with a bad checkpoint save in situation that's impossible to solve.
- Redesigned some puzzles in Chapter Five to prevent them from being solved by dragging a piece from a different puzzle. I initially though it would be a good idea to have such alternate solutions, but it clashes with checkpoint system that saves the state of the whole world. Each puzzle is self-contained and defined by the area between two checkpoints.
- XBox360 controllers now default to using left stick instead of d-pad. If you have already played with a 360 controller the settings would be kept. If you want to change this, you can set the controls manually in the Settings menu.
- Added new (hopefully funny) game over messages
- The game does not change your save files, so you won't see the new levels automatically if you continue a saved game. The new levels are loaded only when you reach the end of the current chapter and move to the next one. However, you can force reloading: If you are currently playing Chapters One, Three or Five and want to see the new content, press PAUSE button while in the game (defaults to ESC on keyboard and START on XBox360 controller) and select the Restart Chapter option. This way you would only play the current chapter from start instead of restarting the whole game.
