I've been radio silent for the past couple of months because we moved and preparing a house for sale/finding a new one took almost all of my time (plus the move afterward). At this point we are back at full time game development! Across the past two weeks I've finished all of the maps for the core gameplay loop. The only remaining mapping will be for the final dungeon plus cutscenes. This is a huge milestone and I'm pretty excited to have it behind me. Here's a look at one of the new tilesets: the Underdark! [img]{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/40240076/1cf284f00f7d44c6ef79e48577a44bd438b9e937.png[/img] All of the core game bosses are also complete, which is another huge milestone. Check out the new Vampire Count mini-boss above with both a Count and a Bat form, each with different move sets! I was working on these two processes in tandem so the maps could reflect the boss/mini-boss. As I finish the Narrative portions of the game, some of these will likely be adjusted but I don't anticipate any major reworks moving forward. With these two parts of the project completed I will move towards playtesting all enemies in the game for levels 3 through 10 (possibly 11, secrets secrets!). Levels 1 and 2 were done for the demo. While doing this time intensive process, the Narrative scripts for all of the character relationships will be completed and implemented. As inspiration hits me on Final Dungeon design I'll likely pick that up along the way. Overall, I'm bummed about losing ~2 months of work time on the project due to the move but now that I'm back at it I'm pretty happy with how fast things are going. I've still updated the Release Date to Q4 due to the lost time but should be able to go live with some sort of Early Access release in the next 4 to 8 weeks. This will be at a discount to incentivize players to help debug early builds of the game but it will be in its first completed form by then. What updates would you like to see moving forward?
