When hordes of Youkai threaten the world, the Tanukis send a messenger to choose human girls to receive magical powers to defend humanity. They are known as SAKURA STARS. This is a horizontal shmup made on Pico-8, a retro fantasy console with purposeful limitations to simulate an 8-bit era console.

[*]The scoring system has been improved Now, defeating a minion will give you 100 points while hitting a Boss shot will give you 10 points. This will encourage people who were just dodging minions to defeat as many of them as possible to increase their score. [*]The sprites had minor corrections The color of the lace of the characters' clothes is now the same, this was necessary to add the new clothes of the transformation. [/list] Major Updates: [list] [*]A new powerUP has been added Now, when you reach 3000 points, your character will transform into a magical girl, improving your shots by one level and changing your look. This change does not apply to Tanuki, who already has the best shot, speed and life. When you lose a life, your transformation is reversed and you need to reach 3000 points again to transform again.
