So pricing is hard to gauge when you launch a title. We originally priced Mage Guard with the assumption that the community would see the future value in the game despite the current amount of content in the game. What we mean when we say future value, is that Mage Guard is still in development and we are hoping to get more content for the game which we have listed in the Early Access description. While we do have a decent amount of content now, the feedback from our small community is telling us that the price is too high for the current amount of content and we listen to our community! We all make mistakes, and it is clear that our assumptions about pricing were wrong and so we are proud to announce that we have heard you and are lowing the price of Mage Guard to (hopefully) something that is more reflective of its current state. Mage Guards new retail price will be set to $19.99 and the launch discount is being modified to 25%. We have spoken with Valve and anyone that has previously purchased Mage Guard is eligible for a refund for the difference between the new price and the old one. However, those purchasers must reach out to Valve to receive this refund.
