Mac owners with NVIDIA hardware may encounter performance issues with Metro 2033 Redux on the new OS X El Capitan, which is releasing soon.
Until there are new drivers available for NVIDIA hardware on El Capitan, we advise not upgrading OS X just yet if you are still playing Metro Redux. Hopefully new drivers will be available soon.
