Lovecraft’s Untold Stories 2 is the continuation of the first action RPG with rogue-like elements based on the Lovecraft Mythos ever released. Brand new graphics, a new and complex crafting system to create your equipment, 6 playable characters, and lots and lots of incredibly challenging content!
Hey everyone, the Devs here. We just wanted to drop a few important lines about what is to come in the next few days. We are working on a patch that will solve, hopefully, many issues that have made the release of [b]Lovecraft’s Untold Stories 2[/b] a bit bumpier than expected. Besides many other things that we will list in detail in the official patch notes, we felt necessary to address a critical issue a bit more in detail, so you know that have heard you loud and clear, and it is the looting system.
[b]Lovecraft’s Untold Stories 2[/b] gameplay is very focused on the looting & crafting mechanic, and we don´t want for the game to lose that essence but, at the same time, the last thing we want is for the gamers to feel miserable having to open and loot dozens of boxes, chests and crates in search of the necessary resources to craft consumables and gear.
Therefore, one of the main fixes that we are introducing in the coming patch is that we are reducing dramatically the amount of lootable containers. Here you can see several screenshots with maps of the same levels. Random generation aside, we are pretty sure that you can feel the difference.

That doesn´t mean that you will now get fewer resources making crafting even more difficult. We have also changed this in a way that you will get several units of one same resource by looting it just one time.
Also, we have reduced the amount of resources necessary to craft consumables and gear to match the new looting system and still making the search of certain resources an interesting goal for the players.
This is just the first step on our goal of making an optimal looting system for the game and, in the future, we will include new improvements so you can focus on fighting against the forces of Evil, and not just picking up objects from the floor.
