We've got some great news for you and a new update for The Unexpected Quest.
Linux build is ready and available! Now you can play the native version of the game on your Steam Deck.

The new update adds Japanese localization of the game. We've translated everything, including the Compendium. We've improved the gamepad controls and updated the tutorial to match the new controls. We also fixed some bugs and reduced the size of the game, but who cares about megabytes nowadays?
