Next Fest Feedback
We received some great feedback from you during NextFest through our official form and on the Steam forums. Thank you! Here are some of the results!
Key Takeaways

Players enjoyed Legacy overall, citing the unique core experience, combat, and class design as some highlights.

More players (33%) "mained" by creating just 1 character class vs 26% who created one of each.

Classes felt fun overall with just a little over a 7% difference in the Most Fun (Warrior) and Least Fun (Priest).

The Least Powerful Class (Rogue) lagged 16% behind the Most Powerful (Priest).

Other than focusing on Fun Gameplay, players cited Listening to the Community and creating Challenges and Rewards as top priorities for Legacy.

Many players cited performance and optimization as something we should focus on. While we focused a lot on optimization for the NextFest build including introducing DLSS and FSR, we have more performance and optimization to go.

Many players cited unfinished art and blockout areas in Greenwood (the level/map) — we will be finishing the map within the coming months!

Class Design and Balance
One of Legacy's core pillars of design is to bring the Ultimate Class Fantasy through our class design. We're happy to hear that players are enjoying the classes and we had tons of feedback about them.

🪓 Warrior: The Warrior continues to be ranked as powerful and fun in the survey, but many players cited challenges soloing PvE and general PvE survivability. We have some solutions in mind for this, including making his Block more effective for PvE. The Warrior also has a new Trait that we introduced called Wound Clot that is available at level 10 which lets the Warrior passively heal Wound damage (the "grey damage" that reduces max health).

🏹 Hunter: The Hunter continues to be a favorite playstyle, with many players—including likely many non-Hunters—praising the strength of the Longbow. We did a pass on the Longbow to bring it more in line while retaining its strength as a long-range sniper weapon. We also polished up the Shortbow and improved the Q (Tornado Volley), giving it a strong knockback effect.

🙏 Priest: Players mentioned the Priest, while fun, feels overloaded with strengths like flight (Ascend and Levitate), healing, and negating projectiles. We have toned down Gleaming Star's damage and are looking at Heaven's Fury to make it powerful but have more counterplay. (Tip: You'll always have time to Evade out of Heaven Fury before it hits — but if it does hit, it'll sting)

🗡️ Rogue: The Rogue is the most technical of the four classes currently in the game but players have mentioned it doesn't feel like you gain a lot in exchange, especially in PvE. We are taking a look at the Rogue's damage overall, and PvE in particular.
We are excited to announce our third Alpha Playtest which will happen on Wednesday, November 13th at 2 PM PST and end the following Wednesday, November 20th at 2 PM PST. See our Discord for details: http://discord.gg/playlegacy
We will do another post on Steam later with some detailed updates, but here's a preview:
The Lodge
The Lodge is intended to be one of our core progression systems. Inside the Lodge you can unlock Furnishings that unlock bonuses and increased power. In this update, we've added the Cooking Pot, Bed, and Fireplace!

Cooking Pot - You let us cook, now it's your time to cook. The Cooking feature in the Lodge lets you gather ingredients through the world and purchased from the vendors (like the Tavernmaid) to throw into your Cooking Pot within the lodge for buffs that persist through your Adventures. Increase your max Health, Stamina or even Poison Resist! Cooking buffs can persist for multiple Adventures (sessions) — if you find the right ingredients.

The Bed - Build your Bed to gain Rested Experience while offline. When you Adventure later that rested XP will give you a boost.

The Fireplace - The Fireplace is the critical Furnishing required to fuel all of the others. Simply add some Chopped Wood to the fireplace to fuel it.
In addition to the Lodge, the patch will also features a lot of class balance and tuning, some new armor and weapon perks and adjustments, new art and sound — and more!
