[/p][p]The team Darby (a.k.a Gaua Games) welcome you to Darby Is Here Forever with a (very) little resume of this year. Since June 2024 we’ve been raising Darby, giving him love and affection, trying to design a cool, engaging experience with just a few tools and our spare time, so we wanted to inform you about how it has been going.[/p][list][*][p]2024 was the year of planning, we were focused on Darby’s main mechanics feeling, as we progressed with other secondary elements and the design of a Demo level for Itch.io, where the game was shown for first time. [/p][/*][/list][p]
[/p][list][*][p]On February 2025, we polished content at the same time we brought new elements, making a cool Demo that fulfil our standards. The demo was launched with high expectations, but despite of the that, it also opened many doors for us.[/p][/*][/list][p]
[/p][list][*][p]The next months until June have been rough, we went through what is called “the valley of despair”; a phase of the development where the designs were been iterated, new systems were under construction and the artists were giving shape to every element, but the content wasn’t implemented yet in a final, polished level. [/p][list][*][p]Since June, the design of new levels started as well as the implementation of elements and polishing. We had the opportunity to show one of the playable levels in the BCN Game Fest too, where we received a lot of feedback from players. [/p][/*][/list][p]
[/p][p]What will bring us the next months? For sure, a lot of work, and we will take it with positivity!
