[Important] Apology, Reorganization, and Free-to-Play Announcement

[p]\[Important Announcement] Apology, Reorganization, and the Future: "Save Diary" is Becoming Free-to-Play[/p][p align="start"]Hello everyone,[/p][p align="start"]I am the new team lead for Save Diary. Today, I am writing this announcement to have an honest conversation about the past of this game and to share a crucial decision we have just made.[/p][p align="start"]First and foremost, I want to offer my most sincere apologies to all the players who purchased and played our game. I am truly sorry.[/p][p align="start"]We are fully aware that the state of the game at launch was disastrous. Frequent bugs, a broken experience, and a lack of polish... It fell far short of the standards a Steam game should uphold and failed to meet your expectations. As a member of the team (I previously served as the Lead Planner), reading your disappointed reviews fills me with shame and regret.[/p][p align="start"]Why did this happen? During the early stages of development, severe mismanagement and critical errors by the previous leadership led to the game being rushed to market in an unfinished state. It was a wrong decision, and unfortunately, it was you—our expectant players—who paid the price.[/p][p align="start"]Now, we have decided to make a change. Recently, our team has undergone a complete reorganization. Since taking on this responsibility, I refused to let the game remain in a broken state. Over the past few days, with our limited resources, we have worked around the clock to implement emergency fixes to the current version:[/p]

[p]Added resolution settings and full-screen options.[/p][/*]
[p]Fixed multiple critical bugs that caused game crashes.[/p][/*]
[p]Optimized UI interaction logic.[/p][/*]
[p]Corrected erroneous text and localization issues.[/p][/*]
[p]Adjusted gameplay balance and mechanics.[/p][/*]
[p align="start"]More importantly, we have made a significant decision: We believe that while the quality has improved, it is still not fair to ask you to pay for it. Our original intention was to share a story, not to sell an unfinished product.[/p][p align="start"]Therefore, we have applied to Steam to make "Save Diary" permanently Free-to-Play. (The process is currently underway and is expected to take effect very soon.)[/p][p align="start"]To our veteran players who have already purchased the game: I do not know how to fully express my apologies to those of you who supported us before this transition. While Steam's policy prevents us from issuing direct refunds, we will forever remember the helping hand you extended to us during our darkest moments. If we have the capacity to develop new titles in the future, we will ensure that exclusive benefits are reserved for you, our original supporters.[/p][p align="start"]This game may still not be perfect, but now, it is free. This is the utmost sincerity we can offer. We hope that this time, you might be able to experience a glimpse of the fun the game was originally meant to provide.[/p][p align="start"]We have learned a painful lesson and are starting anew.[/p][p align="start"]Sincerely,[/p][p align="start"]WoWo Wanjing Interactive Entertainment Team December 16, 2025[/p]
