If you're a fan of WW2 flight sims, chances are you've engaged with 1C's iconic IL-2 Sturmovik franchise. It's a series that's had many iterations and few challengers. 2014's Battle of Stalingrad has been getting most of the DLC releases recently, but 2017's Cliffs of Dover is finally getting an expansion of its own.
IL-2 Sturmovik: Desert Wings - TOBRUK was announced last week. It includes over 40 new flyable plane types/desert variants, a new 385 km x 385 km North African map, 25+ new ground vehicles and new naval vessels to accompany those available in the base game.
The expansion will also come with improved graphics with new detailing, an improved Mission Planner, as well as the option to use the new aircraft in existing Cliffs of Dover campaigns.
Here's the trailer:
IL-2 Sturmovik: Desert Wings - TOBRUK is due out on PC via Steam and direct from 1C later this summer.
