Some memories aren't meant to stay. We are our memories and our experiences. What happens if you delete some of them? If you change your past and, thus, your future?

Hello, Arianna here! Creator of Will Die Alone.
I wanted to write a bit about how this game came to life. It started as a university project for my master's in Game Design in Milan, Italy.
I always try to get inspiration from outside videogames and the first inspiration for Will Die Alone was an album.
Everywhere at the End of Time by The Caretaker is a music album all about dementia.
It is divided into the different stages of dementia and it’s just sounds, no voices.

Memories has always been an important topic for me. I always wondered what would have happened if one day I’d have just forgotten everything. Would I have been the same person without all my experiences? Or would have I been a different one? That’s why I decided to make my first game about memories and how they shape who you are as a person.

For me, a person is, for the most part, a bundle of all their experiences and how they defined their way of seeing life.
You will see in the game that not everyone has the same opinion about memories, whether they are important or not. It’s also up to you to decide how meaningful memories will be in the game.
