It's May 21st, which marks the first anniversary of Cyber Ops since our release in 2020!
It's been a crazy year for the world and for us too. We even released the game during the first months of quarantine, working frome home, just barely adapting to the new reality of the pandemics.
Despite all the difficulties, and in a process not exempt from mistakes and difficult times, we managed to release our first Steam game to the world.
The lessons we learned are invaluable, and we will apply them in all our future projects. We would love to add some more cool stuff for Cyber Ops (or maybe a sequel/prequel?), with all the knowledge we have today. Oh man, it would be such an awesome thing!... but only time will tell if the conditions are met to work on something like this. In the meantime, we will continue supporting our community with updates and improvements. Most of them, not so visible, but we have been refactoring many aspects of the game to make it more stable and friendly with our players.
What's the future of Cyber Ops? We can't say right now, but the first iteration of this crazy concept is here, and thanks to your support and encouragement, we have seen there is a lot of love for this kind of weird, uncommon, game styles.
We would like to thank our development team, our publishers Games Operatores, and our players... YES, YOU GUYS!! You rock!!! Thanks for helping us create this dark world of cyber black ops we dreamed of.
Oh! And well, there's a juicy discount these days, so if you have a friend who's doubtful about joining the ranks of the Geist Unit, let them know it's their chance to get the latest version of Cyber Ops with all the improvements we have introduced over our first year of life <3
Take care, stay safe, and keep being awesome!!
Sincerely,
Julio @OctetoStudios
