While previous updates have been conveyed indirectly through various media, we decided to address these queries directly due to the growing curiosity. Originally, as reported through these channels, we had planned to release the game in early access (EA) in the latter half of 2024. However, after much deliberation and extensive discussions with our partner NEOWIZ, we have decided to transition directly to a full release next year without an early access phase. The reasons for this decision are as follows:
The Level of Polish
The previous early access schedule was not systematically planned. As a solo-dev releasing a game for the first time, my initial short-term goals were somewhat hastily set due to a lack of knowledge and experience in the gaming industry. Through collaboration with experts at NEOWIZ, we conducted in-depth reviews and testing, ultimately concluding that a schedule change is essential for a more polished game.
A Narrative-Driven Game
"Goodbye Seoul" is a puzzle game centered around its narrative. We believe that delivering a complete story from start to finish aligns better with the nature of the game than a partial early access release.
Various Events and Opportunities
We realized that through smooth collaboration with NEOWIZ and by participating in numerous events both large and small, we could seize opportunities to offer a higher-quality game. We kindly ask for your understanding regarding the revised schedule, and we will continue to keep you updated through our official channels. We will meticulously check the stability and quality of the game in the remaining time, doing our utmost to present an even better game. We will continue to work hard to meet your expectations and support. Thank you very much JINO Games.
