GAME RENAMED!

Neversong

Help little Peet hack-and-slash his way through a beautifully haunting coma. A hand-drawn action-adventure through a dreamy world filled with fleshy monsters, insane grown-ups, and sad children looking for their mommies.

Trust me, I know it's a bit of a shock considering we're insanely close to launch. It was not without some serious brainstorming and meditation that I decided this name would be best for the game, best for the target audience, and best for it's marketing. Here are a few reasons I came to this decision: The name Once Upon A Coma, for the broad audience, did not quite make sense, nor was it catchy. Most people I spoke to would often call it the wrong name, or asked me what it was again. Neversong is easy to remember, and quick to say. That's crucial in the ever-growing sea of indie games competing for attention! Believe it or not, Neversong is actually a more fitting name than Once Upon A Coma. It fits with the story, mood, and overall theme of the game. One of our partners consulted on us on this, and agreed Neversong was a better name considering our target audience, age group, and list of platforms. They have experience in launching high profile games, and have expertise in this arena. It was a tough pill to swallow, but we took their advice! The name of the game changes absolutely nothing about the current game. Like I've stated in previous updates, the game is complete. Fortunately, changing the name is just part of the final wrap-up of the game in preparation for marketing and distribution. We're so close everyone. Trust me, Serenity Forge and I are working our butts off preparing this game for launch. As previously stated in other updates, the game is launching on Steam and consoles. We're also preparing it for a few other platforms as well. I cannot disclose at the moment exactly why we've delayed, but I believe we are a few months away from giving away the details, and I can't wait to share. All that said, I really appreciate your patience and your feedback. You guys are the reason this game is a reality, and I'm so grateful to you for that. Some encouraging comments would be amazing, along with any questions or concerns. I assure you, the last thing we're doing is twiddling our thumbs :) This game is your game, and I want you all to continue to have faith in me. Thanks for everything. Keep your eyes peeled for the next major update! Team
