Game Engine Overhaul II

Today wraps up phase 2 of a 3-part game engine overhaul, adding additional support for modern graphics hardware, shaders, post-processing, and more. We're closer than ever to our goal of a lag-free experience with 500 ships in a single battle! We've also added several new features, like a Level 200 reward of the Vanquisher ship class! -= v1.4.3 - Game engine update improves lag and performance - "Battery Drain" ability renamed "Drain" and also steals shields - Level 200+ Captains unlock Vanquisher ship class - Player fleet's 10th ship can now be any size - New jump gates added to Ash hub and SR9 Homeworld maps - Security Rating 8 maps can be captured by alliances - Planets deployed on Sacred Shrines grant bonus to entire alliance - Grapple/Drag does not work in defense unit sectors - Ships may not recall or log out in defense engagements - Defense units have a recall timer (attacks cancel recall) - Refund for defense unit recall removed - Alliance protection shield now 7 hours instead of 4 - Gravity Drive new ability: Instant Jump chance per move - More Gravity Drives in fleet increase chances - Carriers with Gravity Drive instant jump the fleet - Friendly ships with Gravity Drive trigger at same time
