Frontier Forge Patch #1 - QOL changes and Tech Tree

Hey everyone! Im excited to show off what i have been working on Im excited to launch the game after have been working on it for the past 6 months. Some may say its too early to launch, but i feel the core gameplay loop is stable enough to launch. So here it is. This patch has been focusing on adding improvements and a lot of fixes. Since the game released last week, there has been a lot of feedback i have been busy addressing. Before you could just craft anything in the game, but to make it more interesting i added a tech tree, so now you have to progress throughout the game in order to unlock new items to craft and build. Worker inventory UI [*] merged worker inventory UI together with their equipment UI to make it more compact Workbench UI [img]{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45319317/30d5d2eab9a0449890db79010574b6104a22afdd.png[/img] [*] rearranged the UI so its more readable and made the UI larger for better readability. [*] Updated the ui so it looks more modern and polished. the old version was just temporary [*] Added keybinds options in the pause menu [*] Added tooltips when hovering over items Workstations [*] Added an Anvil - Anvil is used to craft weapons and upgraded armor [*] Added a Furnace - Used to smelt ores [img]{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45319317/c6530450e0b197a42e7b5b2cd8a1a123fa2f9fcd.png[/img] [*] Added a Weaver Loom - Used to craft cloth items [img]{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45319317/004c650d9fed1a5327490881f46254ab39a77895.png[/img] Remade Workbench [*] Now it only contain tools [*] Fixed a bug where workstations wouldnt save added tasks / items added in worker queue [*] Added NPCs patrolling in towns [*] Made the towns more alive by having the villagers walk around [img]{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45319317/4bedc5b908b65cf361efa79f5c30d8e1d97865b5.gif[/img] Player physics: [*] Fixed a collider bug where player couldnt walk down stairs inside a house Tutorial Removed some of the tutorial text [*] Removed the tutorial text in the starting area as it seemed unnecessary to have Quest: [*] Added quest text when completing a quest when talking to an npc [*] After completing the quest “A new beginning” you receive a hammer to start building Workers: [*] Made the pathfinding better and more responsive. Also fixed some work priority bugs with wood chopping. [*] Added UI icon when targeting npcs [*] Fixed a bug where the worker wouldnt target the building it was currently building [*] Fixed a bug where a worker wouldnt equip their hammer when working and just idle [*] Fixed a bug where workers would just idle even though there is building tasks available Command mode: [*] Can now command workers to go to a position. Buildings: [*] Added a wooden ramp. [*] Added a weavers loom [*] Added an anvil [*] Added a furnace [*] Added stone tier items, such as stone roof, stone floor, stone walls, a stone ramp. Optimizations [*] Made the workers check for trees at a slower rate, as they don't have to check for nearest tree each frame, just makes it laggy [/list] Thanks everyone for playing and those that have been giving feedback, it helps develop the game with fresh eyes :) I plan on continually adding updates to the game, both addressing gameplay issues, bug fixes and of course new content.
